"Love the Space You're In"

more options please!

I enjoyed a little lunchtime with a friend today. Too bad the menu wasn't very vegan friendly. I did want a salad, but every salad was in the $14 price range and there was no way I was paying that for a salad in which I would have to leave off more than half of the ingredients. Call me a cheap-o and I'm sure I'll admit to that being spot on. I ended up sharing my kids' spaghetti and I had a vegetable soup. It was good. So all in all Not a bad experience eating at a non vegan place. I think, however, I'd rather go to a place where there is only 3 things on the menu that I can order as is. I don't mind doing that because it's reality. I'm not always going to be at a place where there are 100% vegan options. Its a good challenge :)

I believe that most people stop trying because they aren't willing to put in the time and effort it takes to accomplish the goal they are aiming for. Especially in the moment when it seems too hard or plain inconvenient. If I'm being honest, with myself and with you, I've almost quit everyday. Okay, maybe not EVERY day.. but almost. I want to be healthier, be a good example to my kids and tackle something I find a bit daunting. I remind myself to take it one meal at a time. If I slip up, It's not the end of the world. Put on your big girl panties and start again.
