I Love to See The Temple

I Love to See the Temple!

"I love to see the temple. I'm going there some day
To feel the Holy Spirit, to listen and to pray.
For the temple is a house of God, a place of love and beauty.
I'll prepare myself while I am young, this is my sacred duty.
I love to see the temple. I'll go inside someday.
I'll cov'nant with my Father; I'll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I've learned this truth;
A family is forever."
-LDS Children's Hymn book. Hymn 95

We visit many places, and when we visit we love to see the temples that are local. We try to go inside when we can, sometimes our schedules cannot accommodate it but I love to be on temple grounds. We plan to visit as many as we can in our life time. There are so many all around the world, so I do not know if well be able to get to ALL of them, but we'll have fun trying! I love everything about the temples.. I love the architecture, the fountains and flora. It is all so beautiful and different. We have also been to the Seattle, Washington Temple but did not have a digital camera then, so looks like we need to go and visit again. :) So Sarah.. when can we come?
I love photography and plants are so beautiful I can't get enough pictures of plants. I'm weird, I know, its just a passion of mine :) We'll be able to visit a few more as we will be in Utah again this October for Aidan's baptism. Can't wait to visit more !! My heart just swells with love and appreciation for these temples.
House of the Lord * Holiness to the Lord.

Jordan River Temple. Very appropriate seeing as how we were in Utah in July/August 2006 for Jordan's Baptism. So the Jordan River Temple called to us :) Such a beautiful [and hot] day. The wind was blowing enough to make the flag perfect for my pictures :) I love the American Flag and what it stands for, which will be a whole different post... Moroni on the top of each temple is majestic ! This was a fun trip! Thank you to Brandon and Jackie for letting us stay at their place:) We're looking forward to visiting again really soon!

Salt Lake Temple. We were in Salt Lake for Cameron's USANA Convention last year and I was able to visit Temple Square and wander around. I was kinda sick from traveling [gotta love motion sickness] and it was blasted HOT in AUGUST ["but it's a dry heat" I was told over and over again. Who cares?! its STILL 100 degrees!!] AND I was about 4 or 6 weeks pregnant and the sickness began for me on this trip.....Any how, I wanted to take pictures of the Temple , which made me so happy! Ah! To always be on temple grounds. So holy. So sacred.

Los Angelos Temple. My Parents were married here. It is so beautiful! It's right on the main road - and a loud one at that! But when you drive onto the Temple grounds and emerge from your car, it is so peaceful and quiet. I love the different flora :) So different outside, yet the same spirit inside. This is one that is close enough to visit often.

San Diego Temple. This is where Cameron and I were married and sealed as husband and wife for all time and eternity:) It's practically in our backyard and we love to visit often. So beautiful at any time of day. We used to be able to serve every Saturday together [until our son came]. I miss being there each Saturday and am very glad to have gotten the opportunity to do so. I've learned so much and grown closer to Cameron and also My Father in Heaven.
