Xander Updates

Xander has been crawling for a few days. He's not a pro yet, mind you, but its fun to watch him try to coordinate his arms with his legs. He really tries to stand up and crawl at the same time, but that does not end well. I am not looking forward to the next few weeks because I'm not ready to baby proof everything yet! The time has really flown! He loves to be in his jumpies. We have one for the doorway and one that has its own stand. He will just jump for hours and hours. It really is a sanity saver for me, especially during the day when I have phone calls to make for my business and when I have to clean house.

He started teething 3 months ago and that's been fun. We haven't had any bad days for a few weeks... just as I thought that the other day... he started getting congested and drooling even more than he had been. Now all Xander wants to do is chew on his hands and anything else he can get into his mouth. And today that happened to be a red stiletto of mine. Oh gosh! So the past 4 nights have been a nightmare for us..me..I think Cameron sleeps through most of it, which is fine because he has to go to work the next morning.. {I used to be a deep sleeper, but not anymore! } So I've gotten up and, consequently, stayed up with him while he cries [okay screams] until I can get him back to sleep. Xander has had the privilege of sleeping on our bed the last few nights. I hope he doesn't get too used to it. We don't like to use the medicine but let me tell you- I've really been at my wits end with him screaming for hours and feeling as bad as he does. Xander's pediatrician said, last time we visited, that he might not have teeth break through for another few months. yikes!! I've been so sad while he's been going through this. I don't like not being able to fix everything. I guess that's a feeling I have to get used to because it'll happen all too often and I just gotta remember 1 word... lettitgo. He fell asleep in his carseat with his fingers in his mouth. It was too cute to pass up!
