I found out today that the pedometer that I purchased doesn't work all that well. I walked around all morning long [for hours] only to have it say 4 steps at 10am! Looks like WalMart special is going to be returned. but at least I have taken almost 4,000 steps today. huh, still a far cry from where I really need to be.. but maybe purchasing a new one might make the difference!

Apparnetly they were first created for overweight patients who had a heart condition and were at risk-- iF you walk 10,000 steps a day for 10 days you would lose a pound every ten days-- they are supposed to watch what they ate too. At least this is what I heard years ago! Good luck with your goal every bit counts. You are doing great! Besides walking is such a stress reliever!!!
